Studio Diary - Day Two

ENGLISH

Dear people! The first day is over now and we actually accomplished quite alot. I built up my boxes, provided them with new drumheads and brought all in tune with Tony. After we microphoned the set we started with the soundcheck. “Aquarian” sent me several heads which we all tried out. I’m very satisfied with the choice concerning my drumheads, whereas the snarehead is not exactly what we had in mind. After a lot of trying we decided on one in the end. We will check our decision again tomorrow to make sure we still agree, as our sense of hearing wasn’t the best after a few beers.

Later then Benny arrived, who brought us the tracks of the pre-production (pilotguitar, click, keys…).
They all had to be put onto the studio computer.

When this was all finished though, we cleared off to the huge recreation room, which contains a cinema, billiard and computers, to rest for the remaining evening or better, night, and have a nice time. Pretty quickly we knew, we had to play the Wii. Unfortunately, I’m kind of an idiot when it comes to computer games and lost miserably every game against Tony. But whatever. All that counts is, that I won the very last game, to go to bed with a positive feeling.

I have moved into a nice, cosy room here, that really is very comfortable and a bit homelike. Tomorrow there is no Studio on the schedule, as we’re playing a little club show in Hameln. How it went there, you will also be informed of here soon.

Therefore, sleeping in tomorrow and then see what the day before the show holds in store.

So, ihr lieben Leute! Der erste Tag ist nun vorüber und wir haben doch einiges geschafft bekommen. Ich habe meine Kiste aufgebaut, mit neuen Drumheads versehen und mit Tony alles in Tune gebracht. Nachdem wir das Set mikrofoniert haben gings an den Soundcheck. Ich habe von „Aquarian“ verschiedene Heads geschickt bekommen, die wir alle ausprobieren. Mit der Wahl meiner Tomheads bin ich sehr zufrieden, wobei das Snarehead nicht ganz unseren Vorstellungen entspricht. Nach einigem hin und her probieren, haben wir uns nun für eins geeinigt. Morgen wird aber noch mal drübergehört, ob wir immer noch der Meinung sind, denn nach einigen Bieren war unser Gehör auch nicht mehr das Beste.

Später kam dann noch Benny, der uns die Spuren der Vorproduktion (Pilotgitarre, Klick, Keys, usw.) gebracht hat. Denn diese müssen alle noch hier auf die Rechner des Studios gebracht werden.

Als das dann aber alles vollbracht war, haben wir uns in dem riesigen Aufenthaltsraum, der neben Kino, Billard und Computer hat, verzogen, um den restlichen Abend oder besser Nacht chillig zu verbringen. Schnell war klar, Wii musste gezockt werden. Leider bin ich ein ziemlicher Idiot was Computerspiele betrifft und hab in jedem der Spiele gegen Tony kläglich versagt. Aber was solls. Wichtig war, dass ich das allerletzte Spiel gewonnen habe, um so positiv in die Koje zu gehen.

Ich hab hier ein schönes, gemütliches Zimmer bezogen, was wirklich sehr wohnlich und auch ein wenig heimisch ist. Morgen ist im Studio erstmal OFF angesagt, da wir ja ne kleine Clubshow in Hameln spielen werden. Wies da war, werdet Ihr hier auch bald erfahren.

Also, morgen erstmal schön ausschlafen und sehen was der Tag so vor der Show bringt.
